The Program is built around three key areas: Arts and Humanities, Arts and Contemporary Issues, and their application in Knowledge of Art Management Core Courses. SAC conducts two majors, “Cultural and Creative Industries” and “Interdisciplinary Arts.” The difference between these two majors is
“Cultural and Creative Industries Major” requires at least nine credits from Art Management Core Courses, and “Interdisciplinary Arts.” requires at least nine credits from Arts and Contemporary Issues Core Courses, explicitly designed for students more interested in management or contemporary arts. With “Creativity” as its foundational teaching principle, the program aims to cultivate internationally versatile talents who can excel in and navigate the Cultural and Creative industries. SAC is an ideal choice for those interested in Art and Cultural research in Taiwan.
We investigate crucial studies in Critical Theories, Performativity and Corporeality, and Curatography. Some topics in our Arts and Contemporary Issues courses include Contemporary Art in Taiwan and Beyond, Performing Arts in Taiwan and Beyond, Global Indigeneity, Fieldwork in Art, Critical Ecology, Socially Engaged Art, and Art and Anthropocene, with applications in Curatorial Practice, Art Marketing Strategies, Art Organization Management, Art Exhibition and Event Practice, and Cultural Policy.
