The organization Shared Campus is composed of seven world-renowned art universities, dedicated to jointly providing more art platforms worldwide, fostering more dialogues, and enhancing collaboration and interaction among campuses. Each year, the organization focuses on five different themes: 1. Critical Ecologies, 2. Cultures-Histories and Futures, 3. Pop Cultures, 4. Social Transformation, and 5. Collaborative Tools.
Shared Campus organizes various activities annually under these frameworks, such as panel discussions, summer schools, and the Transcultural Collaboration semester program. Students are led to exchange and visit different member schools in various countries, sharing resources from each participating school.
As one of the founding members of the Shared Campus organization, Taipei National University of the Arts has been actively engaged in the exploration of Critical Ecologies. Through organizing long-term cross-cultural education and research activities, the university establishes connections for students, scholars, and art professionals from Taiwan and around the world.
To enable more students at Taipei National University of the Arts to participate in more cultural exchange activities, and enhance dialogue with international art institutions, this “Shared Campus minor program” is established. All students are welcome to take this minor program, promoting artistic exchange between students at Taipei National University of the Arts and the international community. The program is designed to include an 8-credit microcredit program, with a mandatory selection of courses totaling 5 credits and elective courses totaling 3 credits.
